Get online and be part of the Rec review

Views from residents, community groups, interested parties and members of the public are being gathered as part of a strategic review into the future use of the Rec in Bath city centre.

The Rec is managed by the Recreation Ground Trust - a Charitable Trust, which includes three Bath & North East Somerset Councillors as Trustees. The Rec has many community uses and is best known for being the home of Bath Rugby Club.

The strategic review is being conducted by an independent consultant, Jeff Bishop of BDOR, and will include lots of opportunities for people to have their say.

As part of this review, a new website aimed at providing information about the strategic review, the Trust and the Rec itself has been launched.

The website will play an important role in the consultation process and will include a questionnaire.

The questionnaire is now live on the website. It offers some options or choices for possible outcomes to the future of the Rec. It asks people to comment on these so that opinions can be gauged. The questionnaire will be online for six weeks, to allow people time to complete and return it.

The website is for and about the community - local people are encouraged to contribute to and interact with the site by providing ideas, stories, reviews and pictures.
