St John's RC Primary School - Public Meeting

Many thanks to all the local residents near the poposed St John's RC Primary Site on Oldfield Lane for responding to our recent Focus newsletter about the potential traffic proposal associated with the planning application for St John's RC Primary School.

We will be forwarding your comments on to the appropriate officers / department within the Council.

You will almost certainly be aware that The Council agreed in 2006 that the preferred site for the new replacement St John’s Catholic Primary School is the existing school site in Oldfield Lane.

A planning application will be submitted shortly by the architects acting on behalf of the school.
Through discussion with Council Officers we can now anounce that there will be a public meeting, so that residents in the area have an early opportunity to see and comment on the proposals prior to the formal planning consultation process.

The Public Meeting is to be held at:

St Alphege’s Parish Hall on June 7th between 5.30 pm -7.30pm.

We hope as many local residents and represenatives from the Wansdyke Business Units will be able to attend to ask questions of the Officers from the Council, and the School and their Developers.

Cllr McGall will be attending the meeting (unfortunately Cllr Sandry is unable to due to a prior committment) and he keen to reflect the views of local residents and businesses who have concerns and questions about these proposals.

We hope that you will be able visit the display but if not you can see and comment on the planning application through the Council’s website when it is submitted in early June.

Response forms for comments will be available at the parish hall.

Comments can also be sent to:

If you have access to e-mail you can also send your comments to: stjohn’s_bathpublicviews@bathnes.gov.uk and we would appreciate you copying your replys to both Cllr McGall, shaun_mcgall@bathnes.gov.uk and Cllr Will Sandry, willsandry@blueyonder.co.uk .
